Burmese Medical Association of North America

Our Mission is to provide humanitarian assistance, mainly through promoting and maintaining the health and wellbeing of "all" peoples of Burma (Myanmar), especially the underprivileged, irrespective of their religion, ethnicity, political affiliation; and to enhance the medical knowledge of doctors who are in practice or training inside the country, as well as, doctors in transition who are outside the country, while maintaining the unique cultures and traditions of "all" peoples of Burma (Myanmar).

  The annual Myanmar Medical Association meeting is usually held in Rangoon during the month of January. BMA-NA members have participated in presentation of scientific papers, lectures to medical students, residents, and staff at various hospitals in Burma. The BMA-NA has also donated medical books & journals, teaching CDs, slides, slide projectors, medical equipment, and collaborated with our local colleagues in providing various medical expertise to the general public.
