Text Box: As we all know cyclone Nargis has taken many lives and made thousands of people homeless.  This fund raiser was put together to bring awareness and as a reminder to the people of Burma (Myanmar) who are living in the United States that we are all fortunate to be here and have the opportunity to live life to the fullest.  Now it is time to pay back in any form to all our less fortunate people.  We urge each and everyone of you to participate in this event but even if you can’t, please buy the ticket as a token of your support.  

 

Text Box: The fund raiser consists of, slide show presentation to bring awareness, musical entertainment and a local talent contest.  The local talent contest was brought froth because we believe that everyone should be able to take part in the event.  After all, this is for the people by the people.  The contest is open for anyone who is present at the event.  New World band has agreed to support musical background to the contestants.  Anyone who wishes to participate in the contest will need to sign up by email or at the front desk located in front of the venue.  Due to time limitations, we are only able to have 10 contestants.  The first 10 people to sign up will be in the competition.  To sign up, please either email to saungnadi@yahoo.com or simply give your name at the front desk on the day of the event.  There will be a list of songs the contestants can choose to perform.  The audience will vote on the contestants and who ever get the most votes wins.  After the contest, there will be prizes for the winners.

Text Box: Smoking and alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited in the school premises (indoor & outdoor, including parking lots).  In the event of breaking such state laws, the Community Use of Public Facility will shut down the entire event (& they have done it before).
